In addition to general surgery I specialise in obesity and metabolic surgery, biliary (gallstone) surgery, antireflux (hiatus hernia) surgery and hernia surgery.

I began my training in London before moving to the south west and then finally to Dorset and Hampshire for my specialist higher surgical training.

During this time I spent two and half years in South Africa working in trauma and General Surgery units and completed my Masters in Surgical Science at Imperial College in London. Following a Fellowship in bariatric and metabolic surgery at University College Hospital London, I was appointed as an NHS consultant at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth.We believe that informed patients are empowered patients.
